Jakarta, Indonesia , Dec. 5, 2022. /PRNewswire/ -- Paint manufacturer PT Mowilex Indonesia (Mowilex) has received its fourth consecutive CarbonNeutral® certification from Climate Impact Partners, completing Rounds 1, 2 and 3 assessments which participate in the Global Greenhouse Gas (GEI) program. Mowilex achieves certification by tracking significant carbon reductions and offsets over a 12-month period. Past events, including the return to the office and the resumption of travel due to the pandemic, slightly increased the company's total emissions year-over-year. Mowilex is working on multiple locations while moving into a new energy efficient factory in Sikande, which will ultimately reduce the company's carbon footprint by up to 7%. The rest of the emissions are offset with CO2 certificates.
Last month, Mowilex installed a solar roof that it hopes will permanently reduce carbon emissions by up to 30% at the company's headquarters. The panels shade the vehicle while producing the maximum amount of solar energy allowed by current government regulations for power companies.

At the SPM Thailand plantation , an efficient wastewater treatment system reduces methane emissions while capturing biogas that powers the engines that generate electricity. The Burgos Wind Project , the largest wind farm in the Philippines , has 50 turbines that generate clean electricity, create jobs and promote environmental education.
