
SunPower announced that it has signed contracts with four new home developers for solar communities across the country, signaling the growing priority for more sustainable, reliable and affordable energy in new home construction. Beezer Homes, CC Homes, Meritage Homes and Toll Brothers are now pre-installing SunPower Equinox solar systems in select communities. These four contracts cover about 1,000 solar homes in eight states.

Meritage Homes Corp., the fifth largest public housing company in the United States, has expanded its solar partnership with SunPower outside of California to select residential communities in Colorado. Developers will soon begin incorporating solar power as a standard feature on single-family homes and townhomes in the greater Denver area.

Toll Brothers has expanded its national agreement with SunPower to include solar power for Toll Brothers homes and communities in four markets across the country. Beazer Homes plans to add SunPower solar to 125 homes in Maryland and Delaware, including all future homes to be built at the Chase Oaks project in Lewes, Delaware and Holly Farms in Parkville, Maryland. All homes in this community will be certified by the US Department of Energy as Net Energy Ready Homes.
CC Homes, one of the largest private home builders in South Florida, now offers SunPower solar systems to all homeowners in its community who want to electrify their homes and make them more energy efficient. As a result of this collaboration, hundreds of homes in the CC Homes community are expected to be equipped with SunPower solar panels, with plans to add solar power to future construction from the ground up.
