Everlight Solar welcomed the Papillion business community Thursday, Aug. 17, to its new facility at 10421 Portal Road.

Although the business has been open for several months, Christian Krech, Everlight's marketing assistant, said they are finally set up and ready to welcome customers to their offices.

Krisch said Everlight can install residential units within a 100-mile radius, including Omaha, Lincoln and nearby areas.

"Now that they've seen our signs, a lot of people are excited about solar coming to Nebraska," Krish said.

A regional Wisconsin company is entering the Omaha market, where interest in solar installations is growing. OPPD has found more uses for its customer-owned power generation program.

Everlight offers $0 down financing, which can remove the barrier to investing in a home solar energy system. Krish said his energy consultants will also provide a customized solar map for each customer's home and an estimate based on their electricity usage.

"That's why every customer is personalized for their home," Krrish said. "It's also for people on a budget."

Trenton Albers, director of communications for the city of Papillon, welcomed Everlight Solar and said the city is "very excited to have a company like this here in Papillon."

"Undoubtedly, the future is solar energy," Albers said at the opening ceremony. "I'm excited to see what you can do here to bring that to our community."
